I came up with the idea of recycling furniture when I didn’t have the money to build new. I also thought how wasteful people must be to just throw old furniture away. Walking my dog through my neighborhood one night before trash day it dawned on me.Two problems can equal one solution. I found my materials and what is better is that they are free.
Being an artist,I’m intrigued by shapes and themes. My furniture takes on a whole new meaning as I transform it. When a piece is complete I like to top it off with a rescue certificate for. The certificate describes what the piece was before recycling,where found,what the new color is and a place for the new owner’s name.
